Individual Therapy
Individual therapy at Dyer Psychology is one-on-one psychological treatment for adults. Sessions are weekly, insight-oriented, and built around the specific clinical picture of each patient — not a standardized protocol. The work is substantive and the relationship is direct.
Dr. Dyer works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, chronic illness, life transitions, and the particular strain that comes with sustained high performance. In-person sessions are available in Houston. Telehealth is available across more than 40 states through PSYPACT licensure.
If you’re considering therapy and want to determine whether this is the right fit, a free 15-minute phone consultation is the place to start.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started?
Schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. It’s a direct conversation to determine whether this is the right fit — no intake forms, no waiting lists. If it’s not the right match, Dr. Dyer will tell you and where possible point you toward someone who is.
What can I expect in a first session?
The first session is a clinical interview — a structured conversation about what brings you in, your relevant history, and what you’re hoping to get from the work. It’s not a commitment to ongoing therapy. It’s an opportunity for both of you to assess fit and determine whether proceeding makes sense.
Do you accept insurance?
Dyer Psychology is a private-pay practice. Sessions are not billed through insurance. Upon request, a superbill can be provided for patients who wish to seek reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. Many patients with PPO plans receive partial reimbursement — it’s worth calling your insurance provider to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
What are your fees?
$225 per 50-minute individual session. Fees are discussed during the initial consultation.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Your information will not be shared without your consent, except in cases where there is a legal obligation — such as concerns about harm to yourself or others. Everything discussed in sessions remains private.
Cancellation Policy
We ask that you notify Dr. Dyer at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full session fee.
Payment
Dyer Psychology is a private-pay practice. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, and all major credit cards. A superbill can be provided upon request for patients seeking out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance provider.
